Wound Assessment and Documentation
Every new wound starts with a structured assessment: size, depth, tissue quality, surrounding skin, infection signs, and a vascular check. We photograph every wound on day one and at every follow-up, so progress is objective, not just estimated by eye.
Debridement
Dead or contaminated tissue is removed gently under local anaesthesia. Sharp, enzymatic, and autolytic debridement may be used depending on the wound. Debridement is usually the single most impactful step for chronic wounds — new healing cannot happen over dead tissue.
Dressings
Dressings are matched to the wound type — not the other way around:
- Hydrocolloid — for dry-to-light-exudate wounds
